Welcome to Muddy Road Studios
Located in the Blackdown Hills, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, just south of Taunton and Wellington, we are only 10 minutes from the M5 and 15 minutes from the A303… but truly hidden away from any motorway noise, pylons, city smog and distractions of modern day life!
Muddy Road Studios are set in the original old dairy buildings at Brimley Farm, within endless acres of rolling Somerset countryside with spectacular views down the Culm valley.
We love to help artists build their confidence and give their best – and offer the full service from recording and production right through to creating video and a website.
It’s not easy to be a free-spirited, creative musician and run the rest of the show when getting your music out there. At Muddy Road Studios we give everyone access to the very best equipment, in a wonderfully spacious, friendly and supportive environment.

Accommodation
Muddy Road Studios has some amazing facilities and there’s accommodation for those that want a residential option. So a great option for bands and artists that want to book the whole place for pre-tour preparation and rehearsal or recording a whole album.
There’s also plenty of space to bring a camper van, Winnebago or set up a tent and lots of local B&B’s and friendly pubs serving tasty food and good local ales and ciders.
Facilities
Studio 1: Control Room, Live Room, 2nd Live Area/Stage
Studio 2: Acoustically treated space, ideally suited for mixing, mastering and editing. Available for your private use.
Accommodation: For up to 15 people.
Songwriter’s Suite: Self-contained accommodation with kitchen and en-suite
Games Room: TV, Table Football, Arcade machine with 60 games, Table tennis.
Kitchenette
Function Room and Bar. Also available for hire, for big parties or even weddings!
Veranda with BBQ area with far reaching views and Tennis Court.
BOOK A STUDIO EXPERIENCE DAY. THE PERFECT GIFT
Sing a few songs of your choice. Pick out the best ones that suit your voice and then let’s perfect them. Play your own or download backing tracks and then visit our studio with the Engineer /Producer on tap to coach you through to create your best performance. Get involved in the mixing process and leave with your finished Recording.
Monday to Friday :
Half Day - £175 (4 hours)
Whole Day - £299 (10-6pm)
